The visit of the year!!!! A few days ago Barcelona-El Prat received the visit of this awesome machine arriving from Tenefire Sur by the night, the IL-76D! We had to wait lots of years to see this bird again in El Prat. We were very lucky to see this machine leaving it's home for 1 day. As you can see, the new engines that were built to this Russian monster sounds very different than the Soloviev D-30 old style. With the active participation of Volga-Dnepr Group, a modernized version, the Ilyushin-76TD-90VD has been developed and built. The aircraft is equipped with new PC-90A-76 engines and modern avionics. The famous bird of this week came to pick up a big generator (about 14.000kg of weight) to Sabetta Intl. Airport, in the nothern Yamal Russia. I hope you enjoy the video!
