The Zaragoza Air Base held last Monday, December 21, a farewell that the Air Force wanted to offer to its transport plane after 47 years of service. It is already very far when in November 1973, the first Hercules arrived in Zaragoza AB. A total of 12 units were bought by the Spanish Air Force now sold to Perú, Uruguay, and others. The A400M Atlas will take the place of the famous Spanish "Dumbo" of the 31st Wing in Zaragoza AB with for the moment 9 aircraft.
