Miketheratguy Murderers and Mysteries's video: Hundreds of Old Christmas News Reports and Ads

I'm an 80s kid. I was born in 78 and got to experience the greatest decade ever. Masters of the Universe, Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Nintendo, and more - they're all here. This clip contains roughly 100 commercials and 100 news broadcasts, almost all from the 80s and 90s (and a few from the bookending decades), ALL focused on Christmas. This collection of clips was compiled from weeks upon weeks of scouring the internet these last few Christmases to find every possible vintage commercial and - in particular - news story related to the holidays that I could find. Come each Christmas I would put them in a random playlist and loop them, having a background of holiday spirit, festivities, nostalgia and warm memories as I went about my day. Finally I decided that maybe someone else would like my collection as well. Though these selections are geared toward my own interests (for example you won't find a lot of girl toy commercials in this list, though there are some), you'll find all kinds of first-run reports and commercials featuring most of the biggest sellers throughout the 80s and early 90s. It's a true blast from the past, and it's a third of a day long. Put it on while you're unwrapping gifts, watch it for simple curiosity or to see what the trends and fashions were like when you were a kid (or earlier). From people protesting war toys to stampedes to get that hot new Power Ranger to some sleazy bitch scalping Furby dolls, it's amazing how little has changed. None of these clips are my own uploads, these were all provided individually by various news outlets or in packs of commercials releases as various compilations. I simply edited together what was most interesting to me and am very grateful for all the visionaries who saved their VHS copies to share this great footage with the world.
