Mikros Animation's video: Talks Augustin: LEGO RebuildTheWorld

The main area of collaboration for Mikros MPC with the directors was the creation of the prime character, the rabbit, in full CG. The rabbit, in addition to all the other characters had to be “directed.” The animators had to decide when and how the characters should appear and what emotions or personality should be portrayed in order to support the overall story and its fast rhythm. Under the direction of TRAKTOR, the team had the opportunity to research how to « humanise » the rabbit by slightly adapting its movement and emotions. Another key factor to the rabbit was the styling of the fur, which took multiple iterations on several layers of hairs to meet a high level of realism, particularly notable in the chasing scenes. Augustin Paliard, Animator at Mikros MPC commented: “On this movie, the animation work has been dictated by three elements: storytelling, movements and rhythm. We had to always keep these in mind so the right intent was conveyed in every sequence” _____ Le plus gros enjeux de Mikros MPC a été la création du personnage principal, le lapin, en full CG. Sous la direction de TRAKTOR, l'équipe a eu l'occasion de rechercher comment "humaniser" le lapin en adaptant légèrement ses mouvements et ses émotions. Un autre facteur clé pour le lapin était le style de la fourrure, qui a nécessité de multiples itérations sur plusieurs couches de poils pour atteindre un haut niveau de réalisme, particulièrement remarquable dans les scènes de chasse. Augustin Paliard, animateur chez Mikros MPC a commenté : "Sur ce film, le travail d'animation a été dicté par trois éléments : le récit, les mouvements et le rythme. Nous devions toujours garder ces éléments à l'esprit pour que la bonne intention soit exprimée dans chaque séquence".
