Mile Kokotov's video: SDRplay vs Kenwood TS 480 in WAE DX Contest Comparison

@SDRplay vs Kenwood TS 480 in WAE DX Contest Comparison
In this video I am comparing SDRplay + SDRuno software on one side, and Kenwood TS-480 DSP on the other side, on 7 MHz (40 meters band), with the same antenna at the same time. Antenna is Delta Loop 43.2 m long, resonant on 7 MHz band. The video is recorded on 10th September 2016 during WAE DX SSB Contest. There is japan radio amateur station JH1EAQ with relatively weak signal receiving in Macedonia in presence of very strong signals around... No DSP on both radios is used. Receive bandwidth is 2.4 kHz. I find that when LNA is "on", the SDRplay has lower noise floor and better overall performance, so I keep LNA always "on". But in the evening, there are many strong signals which can overload LNA. so, I insert a homemade switchable step attenuator (5 - 10 dB) between antenna and SDRplay input connector. Than everything is much better and no signs of overload :-) ) Check other comparisons on my Youtube channel. 73, Mile Kokotov, Z33T
