Everyone is finding their place and I’m just depressed. I guess my process is a little different. Whenever I’m inspired I feel like I'm under attack. whenever I find peace it seems the world lights on fire. my words catch up to me and I can’t tell if I’m manifesting what I speak when I'm speaking from experience - I don’t expect you to understand. but I do yearn to feel understood, to know I’m not wrong for feeling what I do. that I’m not condemned for being human when I’m just tryna find my way through. You tell me I should pray. I do believe in God, I just don’t believe what you say about Him. I know He sent His son. I just don’t think His son is who you say he is. I wish this were more relatable. I wish I could believe what you believe. but the God you serve won’t relate to me and my niggas. we know what it means to be whipped,spit on, and hung on trees. we don’t have a history - that's what you told us. said I should find a new identity in Christ. in his church where i’m second rate for how I appear, If I don’t conform myself to who you say then I’m not saved, huh where all our saviours are men who enslaved us, you must forgot that Jesus Is A Nigga. whipped, spit on, and hung on a tree. a man without a home familiar with the spirits of the most broken individuals. the crack addicts, hoes and hustlers, the wealthy and spiritually broken, those living in denied emotions, medicating for depression, hardly shown any empathy instead you call us broken You forgot Jesus Loves My Niggas The stone that the builders refused became the head corner, the same ones you reduced He calls chosen. pure religion is this: visit my niggas. cause we been robbed of our fathers, they take government aid if a man lives with daughter, they break us from the beginning then call us broken for what we became in their system - i’m getting real sick of you niggas. calling us lost forgetting who scattered us. denied us our history then tried to make it up for us. you wanna make a new breed of us, huh. make us forget who seed we is, huh. I know religion is a business and white sells. I know Jesus was born in a black continent. I know my people lived by Torah, I know we descend from the tribe of Judah. You laugh when I talk cause you still got chains on my niggas. new whips and no masters, bought our souls and sold us out. you gave a couple niggas money & put us on tv so we forget our nation is in bondage. not one of us is free till we all free. we ain't woke till we know God. it’s bigger than me. i’m concerned for you and your salvation. you hid his commandments behind your religion, rejected His instruction and put your face in His position. This ain't a race thing but consider: if you changed the king’s pigment, neglected his law and disregarded his people then what exactly have you left of His kingdom? You have reduced the Creator of all things to your own convenience and put an idol in His place.
