DRUM CAVE VIDEOS → https://www.milosmeier.com/ ← A series of videos shot in my rehearsal room in Prague. This is the place where I am spending a lot of time, I feel good here, and this is my second home basically. :) That’s why I call these videos “Drum Cave Videos”. These are not my full-value professional videos, but only self-recorded parts of my favorite songs using one GoPro camera during practicing… You can often hear these songs at my Drumming Syndrome shows. The sound is then mixed by great sound engineer WENDEL DREISEITL (Bomb Jack Studio) and the post-production of the video is done by MARTIN VANĚK - top editor, cameraman, director… MEGADETH - Metallica or Megadeth? That’s a common topic. :) Metallica is really close to my heart; it was the first metal band I started to listen to at the age of eleven. But then, not long after, I have discovered Megadeth and I really fell in love with records like "Youthanasia" or "Rust in Peace". When I was thirteen, "Cryptic Writings" came out and I gave all my savings for the original tape cassette with this album. :) The fact that Megadeth is in the shadow of the giant success of Metallica is mainly due to frequent personnel changes in my opinion. Although Dave Mustaine always finds amazing professional players, of course, it loses a bit of the band's family atmosphere and chemistry. For me, the best lineup there was with Ellefson, Friedman and Nick Menza. I felt the vibes of a real band. From the later period, I liked the albums "The System Has Failed" (2004, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums !!!) and Thirteen (2011). What is your experience with Megadeth? :) I'm adding a video of “Take No Prisoners”. RIP Nick Menza... SLAYER - I drummed a song by one of the greatest metal drummers of all times – Dave Lombardo. I saw him first time at my age of 11 on ESO program on Nova TV (czech TV) in the GRIP INC’s band music-video named "Rusty Nail". And that totally captivated me! Great tune, video from the desert, huge drums, fast drum fills… 😁 So, immediately Slayer tape cassettes followed, and at my age of thirteen I made a trip to Roxy Club in Prague to see the Grip Inc. live. In addition to Grip Inc. and Slayer, I really liked the Testament album "The Gathering" where he recorded the drums. Dave Lombardo is a thrash-metal master and pioneer forever. Here you have my version of the "War Ensemble" song.
