Mimi and Gabi make this cute koala and joey paper plate craft. An easy craft to make with the kids and a great activity to reinforce learning about koalas or marsupials in general. Materials: 4 Plates 2 Cupcake liners Paint (black and white) Glue and glue gun Scissors Paper towel roll Green Paper stock for leaves Instructions: 1.) Cut out plates. For the koala head, work on a 5.5inch (about 14cm) diameter. For the joey head, about a 4.5-inch diameter (about 11cm). For the template for the koala bodies go to: mimisplaytime.com 2.) Cut one cupcake liner in half for koala ears. Cut another into quarters for joey ears. 3.) Cut out leaves out of green paper or card stock. 4.) Paint the bodies, heads, feet, and ears of koala and joey. 5.) When dry, glue pieces together as shown above. Start with individual koalas, then glue joey to mum, glue leaves to the paper towel roll and then, both koalas to the tree branch!
