Mimie Vararom Tav's video: AMIDST

A contemporary solo dance piece investigating on how one’s deed is shaped and influenced by other people’s beliefs. The dancer, light and sound showcase how much an individuals can be moved by the surroundings. The person may try to fit in or try to take a firm stand. Whatever choice he or she makes, that choice is unavoidably a manifestation of such influence. Eventually, we are all intruding others’ lives by having such influence upon others or indirectly manipulate them no matter we know that or not. An inspiration started from sitting in a church after an evening mass. A lot of people stayed back and prayed. The silent prayer slipped out the mouth and could be heard, softly though audibly. The intense whispering noise shaped up the energy of the space and also played some role in the choreographer’s internal conversation. พลังที่แวดล้อมมนุษย์ผู้หนึ่งผู้ใด ก่อกำเนิดขึ้นจากสำนึกของผู้คนรอบข้าง สรรพสำเนียง และมวลคลื่นเคลื่อนที่ของบางสิ่งบางอย่าง แม้เพียงแผ่ว แทบไม่อาจสำเหนียก แต่หากก่อเกิดขึ้นจากความเชื่อมั่นเต็มเปี่ยม เครียดเค้น และหนาแน่นของสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่งแล้วไซร้ พลังนั้นมหาศาล และเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตผู้คน เรา.. คุณ และฉัน เรา.. พวกเรากับพวกเขา เรา.. สิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใด กับอีกสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใด ล้วนเปลี่ยน .. กันและกัน
