Mina Villegas Art's video: Scorpio Constellation Acrylic Wrecked Ring Pours in Bordeaux Red Gold and Bronze So Cool

@Scorpio! ♏ Constellation Acrylic Wrecked Ring Pours in Bordeaux Red, Gold and Bronze! 💫 So Cool!
Acrylic Pouring Wrecked Ring Pour Scorpio Constellation Mina Villegas Art Hello Friends! Welcome back! Today we are continuing our Constellation Series with Scorpio! I was watching Jeremy Masse from Masse Art Studio in our Very Merry Christmas Collaboration, and I really was inspired by his comb wrecked ring pour. and decided to play with that technique again, using bold Reds, Violet, Gold, Bronze and Black. Scorpio is the story of Orion and how his boasting and bragging got him in trouble and ended with his encounter with Scorpio. Colors: Pebeo Studio - Precious Iridescent Gold Arteza - Bordeaux Red Amsterdam - Lamp Black - Blue Violet - Bronze Pouring Medium: MiX by Karpata.art There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. I layer my cup carefully down the side, keeping contrast in mind.. I pour my rings into puddles of gold and then use a stir stick to 'wreck' them, in the shape of Scorpio's curved tail. I thinned out my flow extender, but I thinned it out too much and it caused some problems while tilting. I also didnt not care for the way the Blue Violet was working with the Bordeaux Red. I felt like it was mixing with the Bronze and making a very hazy sort of color, compounding the problem with the too thin flow extender. So I tilted most of that off and poured another ring in the center, minus the Blue Violet this time. I was instantly happier with the colors on the canvas. I wrecked it again and then tilted it out. In hindsight, I should have poured another cup, but instead I stretched that one cup of paint over the entire canvas. There are some beautiful lines in the center that opened up that I really love. You can still see some of the original pour with the blue violet on one side, and I dont mind that part. The area that I wrecked actually looks like hearts to me, there is some beautiful detail in there in those lines. I will be applying Liquitex High Gloss Varnish to this piece when it is cured, I think it will bring back more of the sparkle and pop of the colors. The main take away lesson in this video is definitely about consistency. That thin flow extender bled into my pours and distorted the shapes,. and left some really ugly black dripping lines thru the pour that I didnt like at all. The flow extender should be thinner than the paint poured from your cup, but in this case I thinned it out way too much. I am going to try to get Sagittarius filmed before the end of the year. Thank you to all of you who participated in my Silent Auction! I have all the pieces wrapped and packed and they are by my front door, waiting for FedEx to pick them up. Hopefully they should arrive before Christmas! Thank you all so much for being here with us, we really appreciate each and every one of you watching. HoA and I wish you all a very merry and bright Holiday Season! We have a few more really fun videos left for this year, then a HUGE surprise for you all coming up! Actually two huge surprises! Stay tuned! Much love to all of you..
