Mind Escape's video: Timber Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park Mind Escape Films

Timber Lake Trail, Rocky Mountain National Park | Mind Escape Films Timber Lake Trail is a 9.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Grand Lake, Colorado that features a beautiful mountain lake. Unfortunately the lake was frozen when we arrived, but the views were still amazing. We hiked in late June and the trail was still covered in snow about a 2 miles in. Timber Lake Trail passes through forests and meadows to reach the open area at Timber Lake. Timber Lake is located 4.8 miles from the Timber Creek Trailhead on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. It shares a large, level basin with two adjacent ponds beneath Mt Ida. A well-cut trail leads through diverse forests and luxuriant meadows where moose and elk sightings are common.
