Those animals needed to be moved, to make room for the animals being displaced from the hurricane, who needed to stay close by so their families can find them. The animals were taken from Houston to the Humane Society of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK where they awaited transport to other shelters across the country. These shelters will put the dogs up for adoption and are part of the Humane Society of The United States Emergency Placement Partner Program.
