MissEleanorVane's video: Victoriano Adriana For Greater Glory Touch The Sky

I should be working on a bunch of birthday video projects but instead I made this video overnight. Video that I could also have called "the video that nobody will cares about because nobody knows the fandom." So, what are this fandom and these characters? "For Greater Glory" is a Mexican film released in 2012, dealing with the true story of the Cristero War, which occurred in Mexico between 1926 and 1929. I am no expert in Mexican history, although I read a few biographical books about this war after seeing the film, but this war arose out of an attempt by the Mexican government to ban the Catholic religion in their country. A lot of very religious people in Mexico rebelled against it and the Cristeros war started, causing a lot of deaths and dramas, like every war, and which will end with the restoration of religious freedom in 1929. This film therefore puts forward real historical figures and real events. Honestly, the one and only reason that first made me watch this movie was that the movie had not one, but two of my favorite actors, and one who don't play in a lot of movies: Oscar Isaac and Catalina Sandino Moreno. So when I saw that they were going to play together, I didn't even watch what the movie was about and I ran into a movie theater to watch it. I honestly enjoyed the film a lot, even though religion is something that doesn't interest me, but it was very, very interesting to discover this part of the history of Mexico (about which I then read some books to learn more). But even if I liked the film for what it is, I admit, my biggest passion for this film remains the two actors in question and their characters, which I found very good. Oscar Isaac plays Victoriano Ramirez, called "El Catorce", a true historical figure who was a Cristero, therefore, a man from the Mexican countryside who engaged in this guerilla fight to fight for his faith, he received this nickname of "El Catorce "because he managed to kill 14 men all by himself while he was surrounded. In the film, Victoriano is a bit of an old-fashioned cowboy, who can neither read nor write (true historical facts too) with ancient beliefs, not really appreciated by his allies because he has too rural and brutal an approach to this war, but nevertheless respected for his devotion to the cause. He dies at the end of the movie in combat, although his death was clearly less glorious in the real historical facts, but that's the movie we're interested in here lol. Catalina Sandino Moreno plays Adriana, a fictional character inspired by a large number of women who took part in the Cristero wars, in particular by bringing, hidden on their bodies, ammunition and contraband weapons for the soldiers and doing many more activities within this war, Adriana is so here a courageous young woman and also devoted to the cause, much more gentle and attentive than this good old Victoriano lol. In the movie, they barely exchange a glance in a very small scene, but otherwise, they have no contact. But the fact remains that I spent the whole film imagining a love affair between them and that, years later, here I am with a video that puts this idea into images, because, why not lol? It would have given the classic but timeless bad boy/good girl arc, with a Mexican cowboy background with all the drama that went with it. Finally, there you go, it's just a video that I made very quickly but had been thinking about for years, which will absolutely not interest anyone as well lol but I have done it for myself in truth. I hope, however, for those who will watch it, that you will like it, but know that this couple is not canon and that 80% of the video is made of manips!
