| WATCH | LIKE | SHARE | SUBSCRIBE | China to strengthen economic cooperation with Italy via the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative Italy is strategically located at the intersection of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the “21st Century Maritime Economic Belt” (Belt and Road), and thus, has benefited greatly from the improved infrastructure connectivity and enhanced economic and trade cooperation in the Eurasia continent which developed through China’s Belt and Road Initiative (Initiative). Chinese Foreign Minister proposed that China and Italy should build closer investment and trade ties through the Initiative. The two countries may cooperate in technological innovation in Internet Plus and other technology-related sectors, and align their thoughts and plans to grow their manufacturing sectors. China may also strengthen cooperation with Italy in environmental protection & renewable energy, agriculture & food safety, sustainable urbanization, medical & health, and aviation & aerospace sectors to strengthen China’s industrial restructuring and future developments.
