Demonstration Constructing Inexpensive Model Railroad Background Buildings |🔥 Steps for making a scale model background building: 1. Select your scale – HO / OO Scale, N scale 2. Download and print the plan 3. Glue the flaps of the plan parts together using clear glue 4. Cut pieces of corflute to size 5. Glue the corflute to the printed plan as shown 6. Touch up the joins with a pencil or artist brush 7. Spray with 2 or 3 light coats of matt varnish for added protection (optional) Having realistic backdrops behind model railroad layouts can add dimension to the scenery, and live the illusion the modeled scene extends miles into the distance. Obviously gluing photographic sky scenes (or painting them), or adding scenes of a distant city or hillsides is a good starting point. However, to be really convincing there needs to be a transition from the foreground where the trains and track sit, to the sky or photographic backdrop that is glued to the rear wall. Foliage and greenery of various types can help with the transition, as can positioning “low-relief” scale model background buildings against the photographic backdrop. The background model buildings seen ion this video are incredibly strong when adhered to corflute or foam board, and will stay in excellent condition for years if not decades. They are incredibly “realistic-looking” and really cheap and easy to download and put together. The model background buildings seen here, as well as others in the collection, can be made for OO gauge (United Kingdom), HO scale, or for the smaller N scale railroads. The collection of over 200 model buildings include: silos, train stations, houses of various styles, churches, mining town structures, old wild west models, rail yard structures, backdrop buildings of various designs, scale model shipping containers, farm structures, and several other plans to download, print and build. There are designs that feature model day buildings, as well as designs from the 1960's and 1970's, and way back to the old wild west days. The printable models include structures that would fit nicely in a railroad scene from almost any developed country in the world including: USA, Canada, UK and Europe, Australia, South Africa, parts of Asia, and New Zealand. You can download OO / HO scale or N scale plans. 🔥Facebook https://www.facebook.com/modeltrainsrailroads 🔥Model Train Help Blog http://blog.model-train-help.com 🔥Official Website https://www.modelbuildings.org/background-buildings/ _Buildings _Trains_Railroads _Model_Railroad _Scale_Trains 🎯Don’t Forget To Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/modeltrainsrailroads?sub_confirmation=1 🎯
