@Dr. Robert Schoch - Solar Outbursts and Cycles of Civilization - EarthRhythm Toronto 2015
Dr. Robert Schoch Author, Researcher, Faculty Member Boston University http://www.robertschoch.com/ EXCERPTS FROM THE PRESENTATION ONLY PRESENTS: Earth Rhythms and Cosmic Patterns, Solar Outbursts and Cycles of Civilization Many extraterrestrial cycles that impact Earth are well known, such as the daily cycle of day and night, tidal cycles, the monthly lunar cycle, the yearly seasons, and the approximately 11-year sunspot cycle. However, there are lesser-known cycles that affect Earth, some of which extend over thousands and even millions of years. For a quarter century Dr. Robert Schoch has been exploring the enduring mysteries of extremely ancient civilizations and has found that examination of these longer cycles is pivotal to an understanding of the rise and demise of ancient cultures. This is expressed in such traditions as the Hindu Yuga Cycle, Zodiacal Ages (currently we are transitioning from the Age of Pisces to that of Aquarius), and the classical concept of Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Iron Ages. These notions are often dismissed as mythological nonsense by orthodox academics, but Dr. Schoch has found evidence in support of their reality. With his re-dating of the Great Sphinx of Egypt in the 1990s, he placed the origin of civilization thousands of years earlier than previously believed – a thesis now confirmed by the stunningly sophisticated 12,000-year-old site of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey. But something catastrophic happened, not only to this early civilization, but also to our planet. The climate changed dramatically and in a geological instant, numerous species went extinct abruptly, glaciers melted and sea levels rose, and humanity suffered a mighty setback. The cause of all this turmoil? Our Sun! As Dr. Schoch will elucidate, the Sun goes through cycles of relative stability and quiescence punctuated by major solar outbursts, the ramifications of which are far reaching. Today, with our modern technology, we are incredibly vulnerable to such solar cycles, but with knowledge and foresight we can make preparations for the future. Filmed LIVE in Toronto on November 28th, 2015 http://www.modernknowledge.ca/earthrhythm.html http://www.modernknowledge.ca Dr. Robert M. Schoch, a full-time faculty member at the College of General Studies at Boston University since 1984, earned his Ph.D. (1983) in Geology and Geophysics at Yale University. In the early 1990s, Dr. Schoch stunned the world with his revolutionary research that recast the date of the Great Sphinx of Egypt to a period thousands of years earlier than its standard attribution. In demonstrating that the leonine monument has been heavily eroded by water despite the fact that its location on the edge of the Sahara has endured hyper-arid climactic conditions for the past 5,000 years, Schoch revealed to the world that mankind’s history is greater and older than previously believed. More recently Dr. Schoch has determined the astronomical cause of the demise of antediluvian civilizations, which he describes in his book Forgotten Civilization: The Role of Solar Outbursts in Our Past and Future, along with the scientific and archaeological evidence that supports his conclusions. In recognition of his original research on ancient civilizations, in 2014 Dr. Schoch was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Bulgaria.
