Chandrayaan-3 will begin its voyage towards the Moon at 2:35 pm IST today, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. With this, Indian aims to become the fourth nation to successfully achieve a soft landing on the Moon. Other countries that attempted a soft landing on the Moon were the United States, Soviet Union, China and Israel. All these countries, except Israel, were successful in making a soft landing on the lunar surface.
