Monitor Mideast's video: Al Jazeera Anchor Voices Admiration for Israeli Military English Subtitles

In a revolutionary show of support, one of the most renowned and loyal anchors of Qatari state television (Al-Jazeera) by the name of Faisal al-Qassem voiced his admiration at the modus operandi of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) during their recent attack on Gaza and stated that other armies can learn from Israel how to avoid civilian areas. Furthermore, Qassem reiterated claims from the IDF during the 2006 war that Hezbollah operatives were "hiding in civilian homes" and were thereby seeking shelter from 'ethical' Israeli incursions. Qatar is one of the few Arab countries that openly flaunts its relationship with Israel. The kingdom also supports various Salafist and Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated groups in Syria in an effort to overthrow the Syrian government.
