Symbols can be problematic and in every movement there are always symbols adopted by some that don’t include everyone. Today we’re looking at a couple that are currently dividing craftivism and feminism communities – the Pussy Hat project, the raised fist, specifically when used inside the women’s symbol and Rosie the Riveter.
