Monta Vista Design's video: 2011 O Neill Cold Water Classic 2nd round

@2011 O'Neill Cold Water Classic, 2nd round
Extreme high tides at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz, California, sent the 2nd round of the O'Neill Cold Water Classic north to Waddell Creek, where the beach break has the ability to handle high tides. Nineteen-year-old Brazilian Miguel Pupo dominated the final day of this 2011 competition, taking home a total of $90,000; $40,000 for winning the international final, and $50,000 for the series winner bonus. The O'Neill Cold Water Classic, Northern California's premier surfing contest, began at The Lane in Santa Cruz in 1987, with a prize purse of just $33,000. A quarter of a century later, the prize purse for this World Qualifying Series event has grown to $250,000, attracting some of the absolute best surfers in the world to Surf City's annual end of summer ritual.
