In Europe, the X2 will be launched with three different versions. The entry-level X2 sDrive20i has a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that develops 192 PS (141 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which enables the crossover to accelerate from 0–100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 227 km/h (141 mph). Diesel fans can choose between the X2 xDrive20d and X2 xDrive25d. Both models are equipped with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that has outputs of 190 PS (140 kW) and 231 PS (170 kW), respectively. Both are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission and the more powerful variant can run from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.7 seconds. When the X2 arrives in the United States, it will be powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder that develops 228 hp (170 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. This will enable the X2 xDrive28i to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of up to 143 mph (230 km/h).
