De Amerikaan Thomas Covington komt dit jaar terug aan de start in de Dutch Masters of Motocross en zal op jacht gaan naar de titel in de MX2 klasse. In 2017 besloot Covington om niet deel te nemen aan de eerste wedstrijd in Oss, een beslissing die hem uiteindelijk zijn kans op de titel heeft gekost. Covington kende een zeer sterk seizoen in 2017 en wist na verschillende Grand Prix overwinningen vierde te worden in het wereldkampioenschap! Fantastisch nieuws dus voor het kampioenschap dat in 2018 nog veel meer toprijders aan de start zal krijgen!
