What did you think of the movie? ALL STUNT AND NO STORY Saaho Story: A huge empire, crores at stake and too many villains. No one can be trusted. So will the balance of power be restored and can one man do whatever it takes to restore the balance of power and defeat the bad guys? Saaho Review: You probably know the answer to the above question, but writer-director Sujeeth takes you through a maze of twists and turns before he gets there. Pegged as India's biggest action thriller, 'Saaho' gets into the action mode pretty early on. The film begins with signature wide angles of massive structures and grim-looking men, who mean serious business. All through the first half, the narrative travels through cities trying to connect high-stake robberies in Mumbai and the search of a missing black box that is the key to a fortune. Enters the film's leading man, Prabhas, with a loud, high-octane fight scene that sets the stage for many more such confrontations. With his towering screen presence, Prabhas fits the bill perfectly in this larger than life role. However, if you're expecting his 'Baahubali' charm to rub off again, then his avatar in this one is a far stretch. His dialogue delivery seems deliberately slow, but for most part, the way his character unfolds, it keeps the viewer guessing. Shraddha Kapoor looks glamorous, but her character is poorly sketched. Introduced as a tough-talking cop, she soon becomes a damsel in distress, who often needs to be saved rather than she saving the world. Even the chemistry between the lead pair is missing. Among the many villains, Chunky Pandey as Devraj stands out with a very convincing portrayal of his evil character. The rest come off as mere caricatures, who fail to make an impact. The songs are untimely placed in the narrative, only adding to an already long runtime. Attempts to infuse humour fall flat as none of the jokes land. 'Saaho', surely delivers well as an action extravaganza with a climax that compensates for its many flaws. Thanks to the action choreography by internationally acclaimed stunt directors like Peng Zhang and Kenny Bates. The film's second half picks pace, but is marred by a weak narrative that requires constant suspension of disbelief. Also, the special effects and CGI often lack the finesse that a film mounted on such a grand scale deserved. Overall, 'Saaho' attempts at being a potboiler that fires in all directions to entertain the audience. There are so many twists and turns that it leaves you more exhausted than excited. পরিচালকঃ সুজিত অভিনেতা-অভিনেত্রীঃ প্রভাস, শ্রদ্ধা কাপুর, অরুন বিজয়, নীল নিতিন মুকেশ, জ্যাকি শ্রফ গল্পঃ বিশাল সাম্রাজ্য জুড়ে যেন শুধুই বিশ্বাস ঘাতকদের রাজত্ব। কাউকেই যেন বিশ্বার করে ওঠা দায়। তবে এরই মাঝে কোথাও যেন একজনের আধিপত্য রয়েছে, কিন্তু তিনি নিজে কতটা সোজা পথে আর কতটাই উল্টোপথের মানুষ তা বোঝা দায়। সমাজের সেই অন্ধকার দিকের রহস্য সমাধানের জন্যই গল্পের শ্রদ্ধার উপস্থিতি, সেখান থেকেই প্রভাসের সঙ্গে দেখা ও সম্পর্ক গড়ে ওঠা। গল্পে শ্রদ্ধা কাপুর ক্রাইম অফিসার। একই সঙ্গে থাকা মিশনের দৌলতে সম্পর্ক। তবে তার পরিণতি কী, উত্তর মিলবে ছবির দ্বিতীয়ার্ধে। অভিনয়ঃ ছবিতে মূল ভুমিকায় থাকা প্রভাসই যেন গল্পের বাহুবলী। তাঁর আচার ব্যবহারে সেই দিকই যেন স্পষ্ট হয়ে ওঠে, অভিনয়ের তিনিই যেন দাপিয়ে বেড়ালেন সাহো। অনবদ্য অ্যাকশন সিক্যুয়েন্স। প্রভাসের উপস্থিতিও নজর কাড়ল সকলের। কিন্তু ততটাই নিরাশ হতে হলে শ্রদ্ধা কাপুরের অভিনয় দেখে। শ্রদ্ধার উপস্থিতিতে ছিল অপরিণত অভিনয়ের ছাপ। ফলে অভিনয়ের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যালেন্সের অভাব দেখা দিল ছবির আদ্যপান্ত জুড়ে। চিত্রনাট্যঃ সাহো ছবির সব থেকে বড় দুর্বলতা ছবির চিত্রনাট্য। সেখানে গল্প কম, অ্যাকশনই যেন বেশি। ঢেলে সাজানোর ঠেলায় কোথায় যেন ছবির গল্পই দানা বাঁধতে পারল না। অন্য দিকে ছবির ভিএফএক্স-এর কাজ থেকে শুরু করে গ্রিনস্ক্রিন শ্যুট, সব দিক থেকেই যেন সাহো ছবিতে খামতির আভাস মিলল। ছবির চিত্রনাট্য একটু জোরালো হলে হয়তো বাকি খামতিগুলো পূরণে খানিক সার্থক হত সাহো। প্রয়োজনের বেশি ভিলেনের উপস্থিতিতে ছবি যেন আরও দুর্বল হয়ে ধরা দিল। সিনেম্যাটোগ্রাফিঃ ছবির সিনেম্যাটোগ্রাফিটাই যেন প্রাপ্তি। অনবদ্য ক্যামেরার কাজ। লোকেশন শ্যুটিং থেকে পর্দা জুড়ে ঝাঁচকচকে বিষয়, সবই দর্শকদের বেশ মনোরঞ্জন করল। গানের দৃশ্যগুলোর প্রতি বিশেষ যত্ন নেওয়া হয়েছে। মোটের ওপর সিনেম্যাটোগ্রাফি নিয়ে কোনও খামতি রইল না সাহো ছবিতে। ছবির সেটও অনবদ্য। পরিচালনাঃ সাহো-র পরিচালনার অনেক দিক রয়েছে যা দর্শকদের মনোসংযোগ ধরে রাখতে ব্যার্থ হল। ছবির প্রথমার্ধ থেকেই পর্দায় কেবলই অ্যাকশন। ফলে দর্শক গল্পের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করতে পারলেন না সেভাবে। ছবির উপস্থাপনা আরও বেশি জোরালো হতে পারত। অযথা ছবিকে টেনে বড় করা হয়। খানিকটা হাস্যরসের উপস্থিতি থাকতেই পারত ছবিতে।
