টিনটিন কিন্তু পেশায় সাংবাদিক ছিলেন আর গোয়েন্দা হিসাবে তিনি তো বিশারদ। তেমনই প্রতীম ডি গুপ্তার ছবির শান্তিলাল একজন ওয়েদার রিপোর্টার। তাঁর বোরিং জীবনে হঠাতই একটা স্কুপ আসে এবং তারই খোঁজে চেন্নাই থেকে সিঙ্গাপুর পর্যন্ত যাত্রা করে শান্তিলাল। এদিকে নায়িকা নন্দিতার রাজনীতিতে হাতেখড়ি হতে চলেছে। তাহলে কি এই দুটো ঘটনা পরস্পর জড়িত? সেই রহস্যই ফাঁস হতে চলেছে ‘শান্তিলাল ও প্রজাপতি রহস্য’-এ। ছবির ট্রেলার অন্তত সেই দিকেই ইঙ্গিত করছে। ঋত্বিক এই চরিত্র নিয়ে বলেছিলেন, ”গোয়েন্দা চরিত্র তো আছেই , কিন্তু আর থেকেই বেশি চিত্রনাট্য টেনেছিল আমাকে। এটা একটা ইনভেস্টিগেটিভ থ্রিলার কিন্তু সঙ্গে মজাও রয়েছে। এই নিয়ে প্রতিমের সঙ্গে চার নম্বর ছবিতে কাজ করছি আমি।” শুধুমাত্র ঋত্বিকের সঙ্গে নয়, পাওলির সাথেও চারনন্বর ছবিতে কাজ করছেন প্রতিম। পাওলি জানিয়েছিলেন, ”প্রতিম সবসময়েই আমার জন্য অসাধারণ চরিত্র রচনা করে, নন্দিতাও সেরকই প্রিয় একটা চরিত্র।” বিগত ১৫ বছর ধরে সংবাদমাধ্যমে কাজ করেছেন প্রতীম। সেই সূত্র ধরেই গল্পের সূচনা করেন তিনি। ছবিতে ঋত্বিক-পাওলি ছাড়াও দেখা যাবে গৌতম ঘোষ, চিত্রাঙ্গদা, অম্বরীশ ভট্টাচার্যের মতো শিল্পীদের। সৃজিত মুখোপাধ্যায়কেও দেখা যাবে অতিথি চরিত্রে। ‘শান্তিলাল ও প্রজাপতি রহস্য’-এর সঙ্গীত পরিচালনা করেছেন অর্ক। অগাস্টেই মুক্তি পাওয়ার কথা এই ছবির। The wait is finally over. After teasing the Bengali cine buffs with a series of posters and introducing Ritwick Chakraborty as the new detective on the block, here’s the much-awaited trailer of Pratim D Gupta’s ‘Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo’. The trailer showing snippets of what to expect from the thriller, raises the curiosity bar about how an average weather reporter transforms into a detective as he embarks on a journey to unravel the mystery behind a popular film star Nandini. Ritwick Chakraborty will play the titular role of staff reporter Shantilal Bhattacharya who will decode the mystery. This is the fourth time Ritwick is working with Pratim. Beside Ritwick, Paoli Dam will play the female lead, a popular actress Nandini. While Ritwick will be seen as the journalist, noted director Goutam Ghose will essay out his editor’s role. The film also has Ambarish Bhattacharya, Shankar Chakraborty and Satarupa Ghosh in key roles. There will be a cameo by Srijit Mukherji as well.
