Once you finish Memory 07 of Sequence 01, where you have to collect a few feathers for Ezio's younger brother, you'll be able to collect feathers in a more open manner. There are on average about nine feathers per district of a location, and there are 100 total. You'll have to find all of them for a trophy; some of them are more easily obtained once your climbing improves around halfway through the story, so you might want to wait until then. None of the feathers appear on your map or mini-map, so it's highly suggested that you keep track of the ones you find on accident as you go through the game. You'll also find maps for the feathers here, as well as a set of videos if that's more helpful to you. Feathers: 1) On a wooden pole sticking out of a building. 2) Above a door, underneath an archway on ground level. You can't run straight up the door, so run up the door to the north and jump from the top of it to the feather. 3) At the top of an unfinished building. 4) High above a square courtyard, in a window. Drop down to it from the rooftop above. 5) At the top of an unfinished building. 6) Near the roof of Santa Croce, on the northern side. 7) Directly above the tailor's shop here, on a wooden pole sticking out of the building. 8) On a wooden crane on a rooftop. It's right on the border between San Giovanni and San Marco. 9) On a wooden pole sticking out of the side of an unfinished building.
