Have Faith : Stay In Peace. This is a short lecture, presented by a christian minister. I, myself, am a Muslim, ie : There is No god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger. That said, I am comfortable enough in my own beliefs that I don't feel threatened by other people's beliefs. I allow myself to learn, strengthen my faith and build my inner-castle (with God's Help and Guidance of course), using a wide range of perspectives, understandings and sources, as long as the message/lesson is in tune with the spirit of The Quran (ie : as I understand The Quran, not as any 12th century scholar would have liked me to understand it). I don't have to agree with a source 100% , nor do I have to have an emotional attachment to a source to be able to take from that source what is useful for my growth. Stated in other words : I am looking for learning, not for people to fall in love with or a herd to belong to. Relating to this lecture : Quran [013:28] : "those who believe, and whose hearts find their rest in the remembrance of God - for, verily, in the remembrance of God, [men's] hearts do find their rest." ------------------------------------- To my beautiful christian brothers and my beautiful christian sisters, I am reminding them of their Quranic invitation : Quran [004:171] : "O Followers of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son : unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God." (as translated by Muhammad Asad http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Asad) Also, if you like and care about Jesus, a reason to rejoice : Quran [004:157-158] : "That they said (in boast) "We killed the Messiah Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah"; - but *they killed him not, nor crucified him*, but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for, of a surety they killed him not. No, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise." Thank you for reading the blurb.
