Since Flip was going on holiday for a fortnight, I decided to play some TF2 with the group, and what better mode to play than VS Saxton Hale? Werbad's been retooling it, making it a bit more interesting for both teams. The Mercs have a life pool, so a Hale player goomba-stomping someone in the first ten seconds doesn't invalidate a player for the next five minutes. Though the more you die, the longer it takes before you can respawn; and eventually, people will start dying For Real. Also, some bosses have been changed a bit. It's still a work-in-progress, but Hale's rage is now a speedboost+knockback immunity (as being rendered helpless for several seconds with no way to defend yourself wasn't fun), and several bosses from Freak Fortress have turned up! The boss in this video is Koishi, from Touhou Project, and whilst she still has her feign-death and teleport skill, she's also been changed a bit. Firstly, if she's "killed", she can super-jump during the cloak, giving her more verticality. Secondly, her rage now lets her swap with another player, taking their skin whilst putting her in the player's old location. And whilst the fake BSOD is a little shorter (possibly a code thing), it now stuns all players and renders the "victim" wholly immobile. All in all, it's still good fun to play!
