Modified Mobility Scooter. This is my Skuta, it started out life as a Quingo Vitesse with 5 wheels (3 at the front and 2 at the back), and a whole raft of heavy metal and plastic slowing it down. It was silver in colour and had a very dated look about it. I got it from someone who unfortunately collided with some railings and damaged the steering and some of the plastics. The project took about a week to complete as and when I could spare the time. many of the parts and panels were recycled from either the original scooter or from a Motorcycle I'm scrapping, the rest, about £200 worth were sourced from Ebay and Amazon, things like the rear lights, the number plate, the handlebar grips and the headlamp for example. I have kept it 'road legal' and have not attempted to make it faster than it should legally go because the only attention I want from the Police is admiring looks at the Skuta. That said, having remove all the weight, it does pull away somewhat quicker and the battery life is proving to be much improved. Oh I have fitted 135dB Air horns because the standard horn is not a horn it's a beeper from a Fisher Price toy! I removed the standard Cigarette lighter fitting and replaced it with a twin USB charger outlet and I have fitted a 'Pill' Audio player cum speaker, which is hand to plug a USB memory stick into with my favorite tracks.
