A rich Chinese businessman, who after living like an emperor in China, decides to retire and live the good life in Hollywood - much to the dismay of his Americanized nephew, estranged daughter, and angry ex-wife. The Cast: Jesse Wang (Two de Force, Dumpling, I Love You Daddy, Foreign Currency) hails from northeast China near the North Korean border where his parents received "re-education" during the cultural revolution. He has appeared in numerous national and regional commercials, independent films and TV programs. Jesse's most recent film, Two de Force, was screened at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science in Hollywood, and his performance received rave reviews. Jesse is also an experienced Mandarin language instructor and interpreter. Peggy Lu (Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, Mother of the Year, Now Chinatown, Querty) plays Liping, Mr. Wang's volatile ex-wife. Jimmy Tang (Always Us) is Jonathan Wang, Mr. Wang's nephew. Drea Castro (Act of Valor, A Matter of Choice, The Unknown, Ben and Becca) is Jonathan's girlfriend, Karen Chen. Jani Wang (Prescribed, Dream Big, Chemical 13, Scary or Die) is Mr. Wang and Liping's spoiled daughter Emily Wang. Darrel Davenport (Green Guys, Boy Toy, Life Happens, Slightly Single in L.A.) is Jerome Martin, a standup comedian and Emily Wang's boyfriend. P. J. Ochlan (Little Man Tate, Police Academy: The Series, Castle, Dead Man on Campus) is Ryan, Jonathan's gay neighbor and head of the condo association. Rajiv Shah (Pig Hunt, Corky's Hot Ice, Goodbye, Nice to Meet You, Final Witness) is Ryan's busybody boyfriend. Sheila Korsi (El Matador, Moonbase, The Pest, Betty White's Off Their Rockers) is Jonathan's bossy maid. MR. WANG GOES TO HOLLYWOOD is directed by Michael Regalbuto (La Premiere, The Boy Who Stole'd Christmas, The Embalmer, Stereotypes). Michael is a creator of commercials, and award-winning narrative shorts. He lived in different countries, most recently The Netherlands working as a Resident Director for Lukkien Pictures. His endeavors in Holland include commercials for Pepsi Cola and Philips Technology. With a degree in Film and TV from NYU, and additional degree at The Czech Film Institute (FAMU) in Prague, Michael currently co-heads Loaded Media, a commercial and narrative production company, with his brother Nick. He also co-founded ClipCards.com, a Viral Advertising Firm. Currently, Michael is in development on a 3D documentary for the IMAX Company, and in the beginning steps of pre-production for a world wide television series release, Innovators That Changed the World. Writer/Producer Robert "DigiRob" Berg (The Polonium Files, Universal Remote, Pendulum, Tiger Style) has produced video and theater in the Los Angeles area for the past 15 years. His production company, DigiRob Productions, has produced promotional web videos for a variety of services. Also a screenwriter, Robert has co-written a black comedy, Glasnost Village. His short play, The Swami And The Sisters, was part of Cornerstone Theater's Festival of Faith. He is currently writing a historical drama about the relationship between an Indian guru and his English disciple and is producing another comedy webseries about supermodels.
