The event will distribute 58 lakh property cards across approximately 50,000 villages in 10 states and 2 Union Territories. The distribution will cover villages in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This initiative will mark the milestone of surpassing 2 crore property cards under the SVAMITVA scheme. The SVAMITVA scheme has completed drone mapping in 3.17 lakh villages, covering 92% of targeted areas. The scheme has facilitated the preparation and distribution of over 2.19 crore property cards across 1.49 lakh villages. Thirteen Union Ministers will oversee regional distribution ceremonies across the country. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will conduct orientation programs at 20,000 locations nationwide. The Prime Minister will interact with selected beneficiaries and deliver a nationwide address. Key officials including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, MoS S.P. Singh Baghel, and Secretary Vivek Bharadwaj will participate. The SVAMITVA scheme, launched in April 2020, provides "Record of Rights" to rural property owners using drone and GIS technology, enabling better property monetization and access to bank loans. ULPIN (Unique Land Parcel Identification Number) is a 14-digit identification system that's part of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme. It assigns unique codes to land parcels based on their longitude and latitude coordinates, using detailed surveys and geo-referenced cadastral maps. # # Key Features - Functions as a single, authoritative source for land parcel information - Complies with ECCMA and OGC international standards - Uses Property Natural Identifier Unit (PNIU) formula based on geo-referenced coordinates - Includes parcel vertices expressed in latitude/longitude coordinates # # Benefits - Provides standardized identification for land parcels - Enhances transparency in land administration - Facilitates real estate transactions - Helps resolve property taxation issues - Supports disaster planning - Reduces boundary disputes - Aids in developing land banks - Enables better scheme benefit distribution # # Implementation Status Currently rolled out in 29 states including major states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. Pilot testing is underway in 4 additional states/UTs: Puducherry, Telangana, Manipur, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Some states like Madhya Pradesh, Ladakh, and Jammu & Kashmir have integrated ULPIN with the SVAMITVA scheme.
