Salem Choral Society (2019.12.08-J) ''Joy to the World'' (arr. Kuykendall) This is a great arrangement of the great carol by George F. Handel, the same Baroque composer who wrote "Messiah," (which includes "Hallelujah Chorus"). Our performance today was complimented by great organ accompaniment from guest accompanist Mitch Weisiger. Like and share our videos if you think they might bring Christmas peace and joy to your FB friends, (not to mention truth, joy and hope). As a world, as a nation, as individuals, we sure could use all of them!! We LOVE to see likes and shares!! Santa Claus gave me an early Christmas present this year!! I have a brand new video camera! I got the ENTIRE concert on video!! In fact, I could provide video of ten minutes BEFORE the concert ... and at least ten or twenty minutes after the audience went home!! The camera is VERY new to me. It just came down the chimney about three days ago. (FACT CHECK: BIll's current house has no chimney. Fake news!) It has LOTS and LOTS of settings. Silly me, I chose "concert" for the lighting setting. I am hopeful I can get a BRIGHTER picture in the future. I can't tell yet if the audio is just as good as my former camera, or if I can make it better. But it is enough by which to remember this concert! The battery on this camera lasted for the ENTIRE concert ... and had more than an hour left to go, after I turned it off. Thank you, Santa! Happy, merry, joyous, peaceful Christmas, everyone!
