Musical Joy & Memories's video: Cumulus - Flip to Christmas - Option 1

@Cumulus - Flip to Christmas - Option # 1
Dear Cumulus Media Group Representatives, (A Flip to Christmas Promotional Idea, Money Maker with Beautifully Festive Song) I've been trying to reach out to you regarding a Flip to Christmas and promotional idea I have for this song and the video. Note please read, listen and forward to any promotional coordinators and program directors at your station, or on a regional or national level that can make it happen. I realize about this time of year everyone and their grandmother may have approached you with having the next great Christmas song that can stand by the classics. I would like to let a song I wrote speak for itself…but I can’t…I’ll keep it short. The song is “beautifully festive” with the “Spirit of Christmas” all over it! Perfect for that “Flip to Christmas” moment (more on that in a second). Lisa Mychols “Ringing Bells on Christmas Day” – The Pop Culture Edit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHP5gAwhx_k Coca-Cola Christmas Edit 2020 - Lisa Mychols “Ringing Bells on Christmas Day” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hr5MOYixqnc&t The first video is the official video for the October release featuring a variety of holiday nostalgia for a wonderful trip down memory lane at Christmas time. The second video was made in April when Coca-Cola inquired about the song (fingers are still crossed!). I hope you enjoy one or both edits and want to share it with the world over your airwaves this holiday season. FLIP TO CHRISTMAS – LISTENER CONTEST – PROMOTIONAL IDEA!!!! First, consider using Lisa Mychols (pronounced “Michaels”) song as your “Flip to Christmas” moment and then keep the song in a heavy holiday rotation throughout the season to remind listeners of the contest with each play (perhaps a 30 second promo reminding listeners to participate just prior to the song). Then have a contest with your listeners to see if they can find 30 items in the video that they can have fun finding while on either your website or Facebook page (embed the YouTube video link to the Pop Culture Edit into your website or Facebook page) and then use your data collection services (website coordinator please note) to collect the names, emails and answers of all entries. It is not meant to be “who can find the most” just 30 correct answers (more in a moment) is a successful entry. How the station can make money: Find a local / regional / national merchant to sponsor the Christmas Contest. Perhaps each weekday in December on the morning or afternoon show pull a winning name for a cash gift card (you determine the amount) while stating this contest was sponsored by “Bob’s Automotive.” OR…OR…OR… A few days before Christmas (Dec 20 – 23), have your radio talent draw from the successful entries for a winner at each station that participates (possibly a $500 cash card for the winner and five runner ups with $100 cash cards). That is $1000 cost on your stations / media group’s / sponsoring merchants part for a holiday campaign that your listeners will enjoy trying and it would keep them on your webpage to view other ads featured on your site (perhaps ads that feature the sponsoring client…would make them happy). Or possibly make it a national contest with a much bigger prize amount and more runner up winners (your choice). Think of the fun and goodwill it will bring to your listeners in a “safe” and fun holiday promotional campaign. What 30 things could they look for in the Pop Culture Edit Video? You create a website form that would allow for people to enter their name, email address and these six categories that they will have to fill in with five correct answers in each category. Category 1: Name five Christmas movies represented in the video. Category 2: Name five television shows (non-cartoon) represented in the video. Category 3: Name five Christmas cartoons shows represented in the video. Category 4: Name five musical artists represented in the video. Category 5: Name five historical writers or artists represented in the video. Category 6: Name five other songs by Lisa Mychols represented in the extended part of the video (I would like Category 6 to be there because I am trying to make people aware of this wonderful talent and this would encourage participants to search her catalog by staying in the same embedded video on your website). If you are interested, I will send you answers for all categories. Your staff doesn’t have to check each entry!!! When you do your drawing for the winners, just make sure the chosen entry is filled in correctly, if not, choose again until a winner is properly chosen. The WAVE file can be accessed via this DROPBOX link. If you would prefer a data CD with the WAVE file please just let me know.
