@Santa and Mrs. Claus to Renew Vows on Christmas Eve! – Beautifully Festive Wedding Song Chosen!
The North Pole Star Gazette is reporting that Santa and Mrs. Claus have announced they will renew their wedding vows on Christmas Eve hours prior to Santa’s midnight ride delivering joy, peace and hope throughout the world. Santa and Mrs. C remember fondly their 1970 wedding that took place in the woods on property owned by their dear friend the Winter Warlock where a quiet ceremony took place between a beautiful grove of decorated pine trees with only the Kringle family and the local animals in attendance. “We want our friends to enjoy our vow renewal and the celebration that will follow” said Santa. He also stated, “part of this process was choosing just the right song to be not only our wedding song but to show the joy and love we feel on this day for all human kind.” “When we started looking for that special song,” Mrs. Claus stated, “we got out all are records by Brenda Lee, Johnny Mathis, Bing, Andy Williams, Buck Owens, the Carpenters, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Greg Lake, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and just about anyone we could think of.” “We love all their holiday music, but low and behold this little Christmas song came to our attention this year and Santa and I just loved it immediately.” She further stated, “the song was beautifully festive with sentimental lyrics and a universal chorus of joy for all boys and girls. How could we not just love it to pieces?” “It is our perfect wedding song and one we know we will enjoy through the centuries” Mrs. C said as she hugged Santa. Lisa Mychols is the artist who recorded the special song and it turns out she is a true believer in the Christmas spirit! She has not only recorded this wonderful Christmas song, but her debut release, Lost Winter Dream, was an entire album dedicated to winter and the Christmas season. She also released an EP (Extended Play) recording with another half dozen Christmas songs. The song by Lisa Mychols that Santa and Mrs. C chose is called, “Ringing Bells on Christmas Day” and it is simply beautiful. Mrs. Claus created a Radio Station Care Package Dropbox link for radio station programmers across the globe to access the WAVE file for the track and the ISRC ID Code (which is on the radio press sheet included in the Dropbox) to allow radio stations to share their wedding song to their listeners all over the world. Mychols is scheduled to deliver a live performance of Santa and Mrs. C’s wedding song to the masses at the Candy Cane Amphitheater. Her performance is to begin approximately one hour after the vow renewal ceremony for the Clauses has concluded. Performing with Ms. Mychols will be the Elf Choir which has been in existence since 1964 when they were organized to provide assistance for the soundtrack of a film about Rudolph’s legendary rise to lead reindeer. It will be an evening of Christmas cheer at the amphitheater with an array of guests sending out messages of Christmas cheer to the expected overflow crowd of elves and reindeer. The ghost of Clement Clarke Moore will be reading “A Visit From St. Nicholas,” The spirit of Charles Dicken’s will be reveling in the final stave of his 1843 classic, A Christmas Carol. Santa and Mrs. Claus will appear together shortly before the festivities conclude to recount the heartwarming story of their first meeting. Kris an outlawed red-suited gift giver and Mrs. C (Jessica) the bi-spectacled school teacher who stole Santa’s heart. The North Pole Recreation Commission announced that the events at the amphitheater should conclude by 11:15 pm. All those attending the events at the amphitheater are welcome to return to Pine Street and line the street in preparation for Santa’s sleigh lift-off and departure for his journey around the world scheduled for midnight (as always). If you have further questions please call recreation director Allen Miesterburger at 555-531-2468.
