My Country Life's video: Starting a Vineyard from Scratch Part 7 Protection from wildlife

Protecting your valuable vineyard from rabbits, deer, sheep and other hungry animals is really important if you are to keep the fruits of your labour. In this video I show you what we have done so far to protect our vineyard from animal intrusion. I used the following items: Tubular Vine rabbit guards from www.vigoltd.com 8 ft x 3inch stakes - these were from an agricultural supplier, but we treated them with creosote. Standard Stock netting 900 and 1200mm high https://amzn.to/2XQxLs1 Chicken/Rabbit netting. 25mm hole 900mm height Deer Netting 6ft high So far we have been ok at keeping the pesky animals out of the vineyard. A future video may follow if we have to update our protection to keep the birds or possibly squirrels at bay. So watch this space for any updates concerning this.
