NCCMtv's video: Bring Yasser Home Press Conference

Since fighting for Maher Arar so many years ago, NCCM has always stood up for Canadians unjustly detained and subjected to abuse. This past January we were at Parliament to stand in solidarity with the family of Yasser Elbaz. Yasser is a Canadian. Yasser is your neighbour. Yasser is you. I have a simple message today for the Minister of Foreign Affairs. No Canadian should be abandoned. Yasser in a prison cell, subjected to horrendous abuse, is an attack on all Canadians. We cannot allow this to continue. Minister Champagne, we expect you to do two things. First, we ask you to continue to negotiate for Yasser’s return. Second, we ask that when you come home, you come home with Yasser. We are all Yasser. Minister Champagne, please bring Yasser home.
