NDSSorg's video: Transitioning with Technology with Sean Smith

February 22, 2017 at 1:00PM ET Presenter: Sean Smith, University of Kansas This presentation focuses on technology-based solutions for the adult with DS facing the demands of living and working in the 21st century. With the explosion of apps, devices, web-based technologies, and similar innovations, individuals, their families, and their caregivers have a variety of options from which to consider and employ. This session will explore the solutions through various demands that the home, workplace, post-secondary educational environment, and community place on the adult with DS. Participants will leave with a list of apps, skills to find the right ones, and tools to use when they return home to further empower individuals in their varied environments.
