Turkish soldiers' battle against snow Turkish army released footage on Saturday (February 6) of soldiers battling snow at a military base in freezing temperatures. Footage filmed over various dates in early February showed soldiers carrying their daily duties in deep snow as temperature dip to minus 30 Celsius. Soldiers were seen shovelling snow in a mountainous area as they try to make their way to another military base. Extreme weather conditions are particularly common in Turkey's southeast and eastern provinces in winter where soldiers are mounting security at bases located in mountainous areas.
