In Delhi, the Yamuna River has breached the danger mark of 205.33 meters, and is now at 206.38 meters. The river is expected to continue to rise, as Haryana has released more water into the river from the Hathnikund barrage. The Yamuna River reached an all-time record water level of 207.49 meters in 1978. If the river reaches this level again, it could cause widespread flooding in Delhi. The rains have also caused widespread damage in other parts of north India, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab.
