BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal will contest against Trinamool Congress candidate and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee from the Bhabanipur constituency. The BJP has fielded Milan Ghosh from Samserganj seat and Sujit Das from Jangipur. Banerjee, who lost the election from Nandigram, has to win this by-poll to retain her chief minister's post. Priyanka Tibrewal, a legal adviser to former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, had contested the Bengal polls in April-May from the Entally Assembly seat in Kolkata but lost to her Trinamool Congress rival.
