The centre has launched Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 which seeks to boost the country’s exports to $2 trillion by 2030 by shifting from incentives to remission and entitlement-based regime. FTP 2023, which comes into effect on April 1, also seeks the internationalization of the rupee and will facilitate global trade payments in the domestic currency.
