Bank Nifty surged 0.64% to end at a record closing high of 44,072 on May 15. The index is currently on a 4-day gaining streak and the recent run is on account of a strong Q4 showing by a majority of its constituents. All stocks in the index ended the session in the green. Bandhan Bank was the top gainer in the pack with a 3% rally. Bank of Baroda and IDFC First Bank also rallied over 2%.
