Blake Ferguson, Long Snapper NFL Draft: 2020 / Round: 6 / Pick: 185 Smyrna ➡️ Baton Rouge ➡️ Miami The Miami Dolphins drafted LSU long snapper, Blake Ferguson, in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 185th overall pick. Ferguson participated in the Senior Bowl said at the All-Star showcase his dream has always been to play in the NFL. He was a four-year starter for the Tigers including LSU’s national championship season. Ferguson played in 53 games for the Tigers and was the first long snapper in LSU history to be named a team captain in Tigers football history. He also had a tangential connection to the Dolphins. Ferguson’s brother is Buffalo Bills long snapper Reid Ferguson, who was once coached by now Dolphins special teams coach Danny Crossman. This past season, he helped true freshman kicker Cade York connect on 21 of 27 field-goal attempts and 89 of 93 extra-point attempts. Ferguson was the 13th LSU player to be selected in this year's draft.
