NJ's video: How to fix white overprint problems in illustrator

@How to fix white overprint problems in illustrator
Hello fellows, I’ve got a question from another designer who sent his ad for a print in the magazine but his white logo magically disappeared while all other objects were printed correctly. It was an expensive mistake. This issue called: White overprint. There is no white color in CMYK, because white is the PAPER. When it's process white in the art file, and it's set to overprint, that's pretty much the same as having nothing there, at least in the printing world. Usually it happens when logo had initially been colored black and was set to overprint when it was originally created. But client has changed the fill color to white, the overprint command was still applied to the object. It’s a very common issue with logos. Your eyes see the logo, even your local printer see it, but CMYK machines don’t. You can spot the problem before printing by checking & analyzing pdf in Adobe Preflight. If your file has this problem you will get a report: - White vector object is not set to knock out, as otherwise they may disappear when the PDF is printed. In this video I will show you how to solve the problem by doing a knock out (pathfinder) in Illustrator. _ Get in touch by https://www.instagram.com/natalliajarl/ or https://twitter.com/natalliajarl Have a nice day!
