@Bernie Sheaves -Ting A Ling A Jingle
Video Requested by my Friend Roland Skinner of Radio Station CHMR Video By James R. Yetman, videos@newfoundlandtreasures.com Often referred to as the South Coast Troubadour, Bernie Sheaves calls Port aux Basques home. He is one of the most prolific songwriters in Newfoundland and Labrador, specializing in ballads about true stories and events backed with down-home music. His fans can be found across the breadth of Canada and south into the United States. Although his first solo recording was not until 2003, he had spent many years on the local band circuit with early groups such as The Starlighters, The Wild Ones and The Movers (later the Country Rovers). By the Spring of 2012, Bernie had already finished his eighth solo album, with another Christmas album ready to record. His first six albums were recorded with Sim Savoury of Simani and the next two were recorded in Port aux Basques by Johnny Sheaves of Breakwater Music Productions. Here are Bernie's first eight album titles: Down East Beat, Newfoundland, My Newfoundland, Something Comin' Down, Alvin's Last Ride, If The Need Should Come, It Started From Two, Haul Her Down in Drive, and My Wish For You (Christmas).
