沼津垣は、約400年前からこの静岡県沼津市に伝わる伝統文化の一つです。細い丸竹を網代編みにしてつくるのが特徴です。庭先などの垣根に用いられてきましたが、技術的な難しさや石塀、ブロック塀の普及などによって年を追うごとに少なくなりました。最後の沼津垣製作者となった、久保田栄一さんの記録映像です。
