On the 11th August 2018, the Weka Pass Railway operated their annual 'Mid-Winter Night Train' for the year. Usually operated by steam locomotive A 428, diesel electric Dg 770 took the honors of hauling the train this year with 428 out for repairs. We capture English Electric power at its finest as the Dg works its way up the 12.8km railway in fading light, turning into pure darkness, enjoy!
