On a cool damp winter's morning, Mainline Steam Trust's oil fired Jb class no. 1236 'Joanne' begins her second mainline outing, 'The Tui Express' since a recent overhaul by climbing the notorious grade from Plimmerton to Pukerua Bay on Sunday 30th July 2017. Although slipping a couple of times, her experienced crew manged to keep her on her feet as she tows a Uc service wagon, 5 AO carriages, Fm van and a dead DFB diesel locomotive up the long climb, showing what 1236 can do best!!! Enjoy the awesome sight and sound of this locomotive hard at work!
