Fort Kochi is situated at Cochin in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. THis place highlights diferent cultures of Portuguese , Dutch , British & Keralite. Th e name FORTKOCHI is due to the Fort Emmanuel built by the Pootuguese in 1503 which was destoyed by the Dutch in 1662 in a war.After the Dutch , Britishers took control over here & finally this place got independence on 1947. There r many things to spend a good time here. U can just walk around the streets of Jew town , visit beautiful handicrfts shops & do shopping , visit museums ,churches , see the Chinesefishing nets ,watch Kalaripayattu & Kathakali & how they makeover themselves also.
