@Namaste India Trip - Badrinath Temple Closing Day & Date - 19 November 2017
Badrinath is the last stop in CharDham Tirth in Uttarakhand. Lord Vishnu's house, Badrinath is located at an altitude of 3415 meters in Uttarakhand and is located near the Neelkanth peak of Chamoli district. Along with other places of pilgrimage, Badrinath is open for 6 months by summer and closes for the winter season when Lord Joshimath goes to the place of residence, his winter house in Narasimha Temple. [Read More Information:- http://www.chardhamtour.in/opening-closing-dates.html] Opening Date The priests of the temple consulted with the Panchangam and decided to open the temple every year during a special summer. On the very first day of 06 May 2017, for the first day of 06 May 2017, two days after the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, the Yajur usually set auspicious Vasant Panchami day when to open the temple and to close the winter when it is closed. It is quite convenient for the Hindu pilgrims on May 06 because Kedarnath Temple opens at 03 May 2017 when you can visit it and then go to Badrinath instead of completing the last phase of the four Dham Yatra. You note that the starting dates of all the four temples in the Char Dham Circuit generally fall around Akshaya Tritiya, on the third day of the moon month of Vaisakh. Closing Day The priests of Badrinath decide the closing days on Vijaya Dashmi and the closing day usually takes place after a few days of Diwali. Murthy has been shifted to the Narasimha temple in Joshimath for the winter. Before the doors of the temple were closed, the priests put a lamp before the idol in the holy place and when the doors are opened in the heat, it is found that the lamp is still burning. Hindus believe that Narada Muni keeps the prayer service in Badrinath temple during winter. Badrinath Temple Closing Date - 19th November 2017
