Natalie Gennaoui's video: What To Do In Seattle

@What To Do In Seattle
Seattle is this thrillingly perfect combination of a small town feel with big city vibes. The crisp autumn air welcomed me to the friendly city of Seattle on Saturday morning. The excitement filled my bones as our airplane landed. There is something thrilling about traveling to a new city as a wannabe globetrotter. There is nothing that I love more than travel (and dogs). If you are looking for great vegan food, lovely people and a plethora of vintage shops, Seattle will certainly steal your heart. If you are visiting the most enchanting city in the Evergreen state, below is a great three-day itinerary to follow. Day 1 Let the adventures begin. My mom and I checked into our hotel and immediately began walking to the historic Pike Market Place. There is so much to see do and see here. It’s really overwhelming. The hand crafted jewelry is such a treat to see. There are shops after shops filled with unique jewelry and art from local vendors. A unique taste of Seattle would be trying some of their pepper jam. I ended up buying a little jar that I could buy on the train. The vendor I went to had about five different levels of spiciness. I got up to level four and then I decided it was best to stop. From Pike Market Place, we went over to the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit. This place is surreal. If the place was filled with more glass sculpture, it would truly feel like you were walking in a dream. After going to the glass gardens, my mom made our way to the Space Needle for a fantastic view of the city. Make sure to dress warm, because it gets very chilly up there. You can buy a combo of these two attractions and save some money. Day 2 Bright and early on Sunday morning, we took a Free Walking Tour of the Pike Market Place. The way this tour works is you pay zilch for the tour upfront. After the tour you decide how much to tip the tour guide. Our tour guide was a 10/10. He was so informative and hilarious. Not to go around bursting bubbles or causing fights, but our tour guide let us in on a little secret. It turns out that the Starbucks so many people are waiting an hour to order from because it’s the “original” Starbucks, isn’t actually the original Starbucks. The first Starbucks burnt down, but this one is the oldest Starbucks. Doesn’t have the same effect as the original Starbucks though. He let us in on a few other secrets as well. One of the tour-ees got to participate in some fish throwing and everyone got to try some of the locally grown apples and dried fruit from the vendors. It was really a spectacular tour. After we went to the “Great Gum Wall of Seattle.” This sounds like it would be absolutely disgusting, but it’s such a colorful scenery and so fun spirited. It was an absolutely ball. Come prepared to leave your mark on the wall. On the way to our tour in the morning, I made a stop to buy three packs of gum. After about five minutes, I was able to get the perfect photo! Pop! Later on the evening, we went to El Borracho’s for some of the best Mexican vegan food I’ve ever had the luck of chowing down on. Since it was Sunday night, many of the restaurants were closed. Booo! But luckily, my mom and I found El Borracho’s via Yelp. This place is so lit, even for a Sunday night. The crispiness and thinness of the chips was a good change from the normal chips & salsa combo. The salsa was also delish, but the chips were definitely more unique. I ordered the vegan burrito.
